FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. How much do lessons cost?
Splashville’s pricing is based on the number of lessons. Please check schedule & pricing on our website for further information.
2. What is your cancellation policy?
Splashville only offers credit notes and there are no refunds. Any cancellations prior to the start of the session will result in the loss of deposit. However, once the session has begun a credit note will only be provided for medical reasons, which must be supported by a doctor’s note. A $75 administration fee, plus the cost of classes used up to the date of written notification received, will be deducted from the credit issued. Credits are issued in dollar amount 7 not substituted for total classes. Credits are valid for a period of one year from date of issue.
3. May I register after the swim session has started?
Yes, for sure! Splashville will pro-rate your fees and charge you only for the lessons that are remaining within the session.
4. Can I change my swim schedule after lessons have started?
We completely understand how busy families can be with their schedules. If you need to change your day/time, we will be more than happy to check availability within our schedule for you.
5. When is it the best time for my child to start swimming lessons?
Splashville takes the child on their own with the swim instructor at age two. If your child is younger than two years old, our Parent and Tot Program is highly recommended. The best age to begin lessons for babies is once they have head control.
6. What happens if a class is missed?
Each participant is allotted one-make up class per session. If your child misses a class, you must call our office ahead of time in order to receive a make-up class. Make up classes are only booked in person and a confirmation slip will be provided to you. Please Note: There are not make up classes for March Break Program, Summer Day Camp, Bronze or Aquafit.
7. Can I register for the same day/time for all swim sessions a head of time?
We are now offering participants to register for Fall/Winter/Spring at the same time. Fall clients can pre-register for the winter session, winter clients can pre-register for spring session. There is no pre-registration from spring to summer or summer to fall.
8. What do I need to bring to swimming lessons?
Please bring a towel and bathing suit. Any additional clothing must be bathing suit material. Long hair must be pulled back for safety reasons. All children under the age of 4 years or children who are not toilet trained must wear approved reusable swim diaper. Disposable swim diapers are not permitted. We sell swim diapers for $17.99 +HST. Each person must bring a pair of indoor flip-flops in order to go past reception area.
9. My child is not four yet but is fully potty-trained. Does he/she have to wear the reusable swim diaper still?
All children under the age of 4 are required to use a reusable swim diaper regardless if they are potty-trained.
10. Can my child pass a swim level before the end of the session?
Splashville teaches based off the Canadian Red Cross Standards. If your child demonstrates all the skills within their level, yes we will give their badge and move them onto the next level right away. They do not have to wait until the end of the swim session.
11. How can I find out the progress of my child's swimming?
During every swim lesson, our deck supervisors are constantly assessing and observing each student. At about the half way point of the session, Splashville's deck supervisors will have an oral midterm review of your child's progress.
